Policies & Good to Know
We believe the most magical experiences happen when everyone knows what to expect. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our policies before booking — and as always, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out.
Deposits & Payment
A deposit of 50%–100% of your total package price is required at the time of booking to secure your date and time. Your date is not held until your deposit is received. Once it is, that time is reserved exclusively for you — we turn away all other inquiries for that window.
All deposits are non-refundable. Any remaining balance is due in full prior to or on the day of the event, before the performance begins. Payment is accepted via Venmo — details will be provided upon booking.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
If you need to cancel for any reason, your deposit is forfeited in full. Any amount paid beyond the deposit may, at our discretion, be applied as a credit toward a future booking — however that credit must be used within one month of your original event date and is subject to our availability.
In the rare event that we must cancel due to a verified emergency, you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid, or the option to reschedule at no additional cost — whichever you prefer.
Neither party will be held in breach of their agreement due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disaster, public health emergencies, or serious illness. In such cases, we will work with you in good faith to reschedule.
Timing & Scheduling
Performance end times are fixed. If your event is not ready to begin at the contracted start time due to circumstances on your end, the performance will still conclude at the contracted end time. No extensions will be provided on the day of the event and the total price remains unchanged.
In the unlikely event that our performers are delayed, we will communicate with you promptly and fulfill the full contracted performance time from our actual arrival.
Performer Safety & Right to Withdraw
The safety and well-being of our performers is a non-negotiable priority. If at any point during your event a performer is made to feel physically unsafe, is harmed, threatened, or subjected to harassment or inappropriate conduct by any individual in attendance — adult or minor — the performer reserves the right to immediately cease the performance and vacate the premises. No refund will be issued for remaining contracted performance time under these circumstances.
Once Upon a Dream Events & Planning will perform at events where alcohol is being consumed responsibly by adults. However, if the conduct of any intoxicated or disruptive guest creates an unsafe or inappropriate environment for our performers or the children present, we reserve the right to conclude the performance immediately. No refund will be issued in such cases.
We also reserve the right to decline future bookings from any client or household where a previous event resulted in a safety concern, contract violation, or hostile environment for our performers.
The client and supervising adults are solely responsible for the behavior and supervision of all minors in attendance. Our performers are entertainers, not childcare providers.
Weather & Venue Requirements
A shaded or covered performance area must be available at all times for outdoor or partially outdoor events. Our performers wear intricate, professional-grade costumes that are not designed for prolonged direct sun exposure, and extended heat poses a genuine health and safety risk.
Our performers bring their own Bluetooth speaker and music. Upon arrival, we ask that any existing party music be lowered to an appropriate background level so performers can be clearly heard by the children throughout the event.
The client is responsible for ensuring the event space is free of hazards that could pose a risk to performers, including uneven surfaces, unsecured animals, open flames near costume materials, or any substances on the ground that could damage costumes or cause injury.
In the event of extreme weather conditions, Once Upon a Dream Events & Planning reserves the right to modify the performance structure, relocate indoors, or conclude the performance early if genuine safety is at risk. We will always communicate with you directly in these situations.
Character Exclusivity
To preserve the integrity of the experience and prevent confusion among children, no other princess party performers, character entertainers, costumed individuals, or anyone portraying the same or similar characters may be present at the event while our performers are in attendance. Violation of this may result in immediate termination of the performance without refund.
Allergies & Skin Sensitivities
Once Upon a Dream Events & Planning uses professional-grade, cosmetic-safe glitter tattoo materials, body adhesives, and body-safe glitters. While these products are formulated for use on skin, individual reactions vary and we cannot guarantee a reaction-free experience for every guest.
The client is responsible for disclosing any known allergies, skin sensitivities, or dermatological conditions for any attending guest — particularly children — prior to the event. This information must be communicated no later than 48 hours before the event date. Participation in glitter tattoo activities is entirely voluntary and any guest may opt out at any time.
Once Upon a Dream Events & Planning is not liable for any allergic reaction or adverse skin response arising from undisclosed sensitivities.
Photo & Video
All photos and videos captured by Once Upon a Dream Events & Planning during the event are and remain the sole intellectual property of Once Upon a Dream Events & Planning. Clients and guests are fully welcome and encouraged to photograph and video the event freely for personal use.
We may use photos and videos from your event — captured by our team or shared publicly by you — for marketing, social media, and promotional purposes. We will never publicly post a photo or video in which a child's face is identifiable without the express written consent of the contract signee. Photo consent preferences are collected at the time of booking.
Independent Company Disclaimer
Once Upon a Dream Events & Planning is an independent entertainment company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, licensed by, or sponsored by The Walt Disney Company, its subsidiaries, or any other intellectual property holder.
Gratuity
Gratuity is never included in package pricing and is never required. If our performers brought a little extra magic to your celebration, tips are always deeply appreciated and may be given directly to performers on the day of your event.
